We are a very active club, taking part in a large number of competitions throughout the year! Short explanations of each type of competition are given below. Unfortunatly, due to COVID-19 some competitions may be cancelled or postponed. Click the button below to see any updates on competitions.
BULSCA League Comps
BULSCA, the governing body for lifesaving at university, organise 'league competitions' each year, which are each hosted by a different UK university. We have six league comps this year, forming the majority of our competiton calendar!
This 2020-21 academic year will see competitions in
These are each one day competitions on Saturdays. Each BULSCA league competition consists of a pool based 'wet' SERC, a non-pool based 'dry' SERC and three speeds relays. This is followed by food and results usually in the Student's Union together will all competitors, helpers and judges. After results is the option to return to Warwick or else to stay for a social and to explore the various cities nightlives (the highlight of which is the 3am booking at the curry house in Birmingham!)
BULSCA Student Championships
Student Champs is the highlight of the BULSCA calendar, which sees squads entering from not only UK universities, but also from the University of Athens!
The competition lasts 2 days; the first focusing on Speed events (both individual and relays). The second day is similar to the layout of a normal BULSCA league competition with two SERCs and then the speeds events.
